Kate Spade has a new line of luxe literary accessories, “inspired by our love of beautful type, classic academia and all things bookish.” (With a wink of wit.)
That phrase in parens is Kate’s, not mine.
Merchandise is clever and chic, (this is Kate Spade, after all), but pricey – rancing from $35 for an iPhone case to $428 for the “Melita” jacket lined with a black-and-white logo glasses print that shows up on a number of items including the Literary Glasses scarf, $148, shown here.
Same with the “Age of Innocence” clutch, $325.
I think the book cover, with its crisp stripes, is actually, well, smarter.
and these red Goreski Glasses studs, $48. (Celebrity stylist and host of Bravo’s “It’s a Brad Brad World” Brad Goreski is known for his signature glasses.) You can see the whole collection at KateSpade.com.
