In honor of Martin Luther King Day, the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center, 77 Forest
St., Hartford, is offering free admission and tours on Monday, Jan.20. At 12:30
p.m., there will be a discussion on non-violence. Center hours are 9:30 a.m. to

Saturday, June 8, is Tom Sawyer Day in King Arthur’s Court at the Mark Twain
House & Museum in Hartford. The free family event, which runs from 10 a.m.
to 4 p.m., includes crafts, magicians, bouncy castle, wildlife, (courtesy of the
Connecticut Children’s Museum), and music. (Discount tours of the Mark Twain
House will be available.) Next door, at the Harriet Beecher Stowe House, they’ll

On September 29, 2012, theHarriet Beecher Stowe Center in Hartford — and more than 1,400 cultural venues across the country — will offer free admission as part of the eighth annual Museum Day Live. The event is sponsored by the Smithsonian Institute and you can download free passes at their website, www.Smithsonian.com/museumday.
