It’s out with the old and in with the new at the Second Chance Shop of Simsbury. The store holds its three-day, semi-annual clearance sale this weekend. On Thursday, July 26, everything is 50 percent off. On Friday, July 27, savings increase to 75 percent off. Saturday, July 28, remaining merchandise is $5 a bag. Items include gently used clothing, accessories and housewares. The Second Chance Shop is at 12 Station St. in Simsbury Center. Summer hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (The store closes July 30 and reopens on Aug. 10 with fall and winter stock.)

It’s not too soon to think about holiday gifts, and Carol & Co. in Collinsville helps with its summer sale.
