Stock up on cheap beach reads at The Friends of the Acton Public Library Annual Book Sale, 60 Old Boston Post Road in Old Saybrook. The sale takes place Thursday, July 12, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, July 13, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday , July 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Information: 860-395-3184.
St. Mary’s Episcopal Church at 41 Park St. in Manchester, holds a book and bake sale on Saturday, July 14, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Most books are priced at $.25 and $.50. There’s a special fundraiser tag sale fundraiser at the First Congregational Church, 554 Main St., Portland, on Saturday, July 14, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. All proceeds benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Friends of Feral Felines, Inc. of East Lyme holds its annual fundraising tag sale on Sunday, July 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Niantic Animal Hospital parking lot, 9 Lake Avenue, in Niantic. (Rain date is July 22.)
