Staind Singer Aaron Lewis Signs Solo Deal For New Country LP, ‘The Road’
It’s almost like Aaron Lewis is living a double life, grinding out sullen heavy tunes with Staind on the one hand (including a show May 19 in Hartford) and indulging his longstanding love of country music on the other.
Lewis, the western Massachusetts native and resident, digs deeper into the latter with a new solo deal with Blaster Entertainment in Nashville, which will release Lewis’ forthcoming solo LP, “The Road.” It’s the follow-up to his 2011 country EP, “Town Line,” reviewed here.
“Country music was the first music I ever listened to,” Lewis says in a press release. “I sat on my grandfather’s lap listening to his country records and I grew to love them. The country audience has been so accepting of my music and I’m excited about working with the Blaster team to put out the new record this summer.”
A video for the singer’s new single, “Endless Summer,” recently debuted on CMT, and he performed last month at the country-centric Stagecoach Festival in California.
“The Road” is due this summer.
