With a number of concertgoers rushed to area hospitals during Avicii’s Wednesday night concert at the TD Garden in Boston, there’s no word yet on how it all might affect the Swedish DJ’s appearance at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. on Friday, June 27.

According to the Boston Herald, many of those who fell ill Wednesday night were already intoxicated from drug or alcohol use when they showed up (a fact that might not surprise anyone who follows EDM). The Boston Globe reported that over 50 individuals (many of whom were minors) were treated or evaluated at the show, with 36 people requiring transportation to area hospitals. (Something similar happened in Toronto in May.)

There hasn’t been a response yet from the casino, but we’ll keep you posted.

Update: A Mohegan Sun spokesperson sent this email: “We don’t anticipate any issues here, but we are prepared to deal with anything that may occur as we always do for all of our Arena events.”
