Some of you may have noticed that a lot of shows booked at the Heirloom Arts Theatre in Danbury have recently been canceled, rescheduled, or moved.

If you were wondering, the venue was shut down for a couple weeks following a police raid in mid-June.

Calls and messages to the venue about the raid and the venue’s status have not been returned.

According to the Danbury News-Times, the incident involved both allegations of underage drinking, as well as confusion over what type of permit the venue has, and whether they were allowed to serve alcohol at all. It appears through multiple accounts that the venue will not be serving alcohol at all in the immediate future.

Throughout the closure, Heirloom remained active on Twitter and Facebook, announcing plenty of new shows and helping promote events moved from the venue.

The venue reopens with a hardcore punk show this Thursday, July 5 with Mountain Man, Heavy Breath, and Night Owls.

Upcoming shows moved to alternate venues include Murder By Death on July 15 (moved to Cafe` Nine in New Haven and now sold out), The Hold Steady on July 19 (moved to Arch Street Tavern in Hartford), and The Tallest Man On Earth on July 28 (moved to Center Church on the Green in New Haven).
