Lady Gaga has officially canceled the rest of her “Born The Way Ball” tour, including a March 3 stop at Mohegan Sun.

The announcement was made on the pop star’s website Wednesday night:

Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball performances have been cancelled.
After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal.

Refunds for the cancelled performances will be available at point of purchase starting Feb 14, 2013.

Yesterday Lady Gaga tweeted the postponement of tour dates in Chicago, Detroit, and Hamilton (Ontario) because of ‘synovitis,’ which she described as severe inflammation of joints. The artist earlier remarked that she’s been hiding her pain from her staff and her fans.

There’s no word on just how long Gaga’s recovery will take, or when the tour will be rescheduled.
