Coldplay announced three new United States tour dates to close out 2012 on their website Sunday night, including one at Mohegan Sun.
They play Uncasville on Saturday, December 29. The show is followed by a headlining performance in Brooklyn December 30, before a co-headlining show with Jay-Z on New Years Eve.
Coldplay last performed in Connecticut at the Meadows (now the Comcast) in May, 2009. Prior to that, they were at the XL Center in 2008. The two Brooklyn dates are Coldplay’s first in New York since 2005.
Tickets go for $95 and $150 (which is a bit less than the $500 New Year’s Eve concert). They go on sale Friday, Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.
Fans who can’t wait for the concert can catch a preview one night only- Coldplay’s live DVD and album from the 2012 tour are being released November 19, however it will be showing in select theaters Tuesday night (Nov. 13).
The movie plays at the Digiplex Lisbon, Digiplex Bloomfield, and Bridgeport Showcase Cinema at 7:30 p.m.
