Did you see Elvis Presley at the Hartford Civic Center in 1976? Did you skip Woodstock to catch Led Zeppelin at the Oakdale in 1969? Catch Pink Floyd in Waterbury in ’73 on the Dark Side of the Moon Tour? Fleetwood Mac’s Tusk Tour in New Haven in 1979?

Well, I want to hear from you.

Throughout the month of February, I’ll be posting about famous tours or one-off concerts that stopped in Connecticut, from Springsteen to Judas Priest to Lady Gaga. It’s part of the Hartford Courant‘s year-long initiative to celebrate 250 years of delivering history to the people.

Included in each post will be a story or review from our archives, some YouTube clips, playlists, interviews with fans who were there, photos, ticket stubs and whatever else I can dig up.

Did you see the Grateful Dead at the Civic Center in 1977 or 1983? Bob Marley at the Bushnell in ’75? Anything’s fair game, so don’t be shy. Hit me up at mhamad (at) hartfordadvocate dot com.
