New Concerts: Daughtry at Foxwoods While Nickelback Plays Hartford? Maybe

A tour itinerary for Daughtry puts the band in Connecticut April 27, the same night Nickelback plays Hartford.

Decisions, decisions: According to a press release from the band, Daughtry performs April 27 at MGM Grand at Foxwoods, which is the same night that Nickelback plays XL Center in Hartford. No word on tickets, but Foxwoods says the show hasn’t actually been confirmed and may not, in fact, happen that day, which probably benefits both bands, given their overlapping audiences.

Latter-day pop-metal band Steel Panther performs April 19 in the Dome at Toyota Presents Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford; tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. for $23 (or $40 for a meet-and-greet with the band).

Say Anything plays April 9 at the Webster Theatre in Hartford; no word on tickets.

Disco Biscuits side project Conspirator performs March 1 at Toad’s Place in New Haven; tickets are $16. The Kooks headline March 9; tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 20, at noon for $20. M. Ward coheadlines with the Lee Ranaldo Band May 7; tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 20, at noon for $20. Tickets are available via www.toadsplace.com.

Matt Pryor of the Get Up Kids performs Feb. 28 in Lilly’s Pad at Toad’s; tickets are $12 via manicproductions.org. Cheap Girls is there March 8; tickets are $8 via manicproductions.org.

California band Dum Dum Girls makes its Connecticut debut Feb. 9 at The Space in Hamden; tickets are $15 via manicproductions.org. (More details.)

Don McLean performs April 14 at the Calvin Theatre in Northampton; tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. for $45, $35 and $25. Martin Sexton returns April 21; tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 20, for $35 and $25.

Folk duo Aztec Two-Step plays Feb. 4 at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton; tickets are $25.

The Royal Southern Brotherhood, featuring Cyril Neville, Devon Allman and Mike Zito, performs March 8 at Infinity Music Hall in Norfolk; tickets are $40 and $30. Southside Johnny and the Poor Fools are there March 15; tickets are $60, $45 and $40. Nanci Griffith performs with the Kennedys April 20; tickets are $80 and $60. A.J. Croce plays with Liz Longley May 27; tickets are $35 and $25.

Hartford native Xenia Rubinos performs with the Damian Curtis Trio Thursday, Jan. 19, at Arch Street Tavern in Hartford; there’s a $10 cover. The Mallett Brothers Band is there with Little Ugly Friday, Jan. 20; there’s a $5 cover. Austin, Texas, band Loves It! Is there with Windsor’s Grimm Generation Tuesday, Jan. 24; there’s a $5 cover. Upstate New York jam band Capital Zen plays with Deep in Green Jan. 27; there’s a $5 cover. Wildlife performs Feb. 2; tickets are $7 in advance. Tickets are available via www.ticketfly.com.

    oh my god! if matt pryor and m. ward played together – it would be like my own personal festival of past and present music crushes at toad’s place.

    I will be so excited if Daughtry is on another night. My 2 favorite bands on the same night…ughh!! Already got my tickets for Nickelback! Never missed either band when they come to CT. Wished I got to see them together. :)
