Fiona Apple will perform threelocal dates in June as part of the tour for her new album, the 23-word-titled “The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do,” due June 19.

According to an itinerary posted this morning on her website, Apple performs June 22 at MGM Grand at Foxwoods, June 23 at Mountain Park in Holyoke and June 29 at Ives Concert Park in Danbury. Tickets for each go on sale April 20 at 10 a.m. Tickets for the Holyoke show are $55 and $45 for reserved seats and $35 for the lawn. Holyoke tickets will be available via www.nbotickets.com. Tickets for the Danbury show are $50 and $45 for reserved seats and $35 for general admission the lawn. Danbury tickets will be available via www.premierboxoffice.com.

The new album follows Apple’s 2006 release “Extraordinary Machine,” and the concert appearances will mark her first live shows in the area since a deeply weird performance that same year at Mohegan Sun, where she displayed a discomfiting amount of emotional fragility. Apple performed in March at SXSW in Austin, Texas, where her performance received mixed reviews.
