Staind are finally getting ready to release the first live album of their nearly two decade career, and the Springfield natives chose a local crowd as their background support.

“Live At Mohegan Sun” was recorded at the band’s most recent stop at the Uncasville casino this past November. That tour was in support of their newly released self-titled album.

Ranging through the band’s catalog, the 16 track album features some newer songs and reaches back to the 1996 breakthrough hit Mudshovel.

The live disc comes out July 10, with a video release on DVD and Blu-Ray on August 14th.

In related news, followers Aaron Lewis’ solo career may have found his record bins (or iTunes page) noticeably devoid of a new album on Tuesday.

The Staind frontman was set to release his latest album June 26. “The Road” has now been pushed back to September 11.

Lewis also just played at Mohegan Sun in February. The arena seems to be the group’s favorite venue outside the Pioneer Valley.
