Infinity Kicks Off Weekly Open Mic Night, With Chance To Perform In The Hall

If you’ve ever dreamed of performing in the grandiose Infinity Hall, this could be your chance.

The Norfolk venue is starting a weekly Open Mic night at the Bistro, with a competition in the works to open up a show on the big stage. The first is tonight, Feb. 20.

Sign ups for the open mic go from 6-6:45 p.m. The actual event is 7-10 p.m. Andy Attanasio is on emcee duties.

Musicians need to bring their instruments (kind of essential, right?), however full drum kits are not allowed. Smaller percussion kits like bongos are approved. The bistro is providing a three-mic set up, along with bass amp and PA system.

“In addition to bringing world-class music to Norfolk, we’ve always wanted to support local artists and rising stars,” Infinity Hall founder Dan Hincks said in a release. “Having a weekly open mic night is just another way to do that.”
