The first few 2013 summer concerts at Ives Concert Park in Danbury dropped this week. The shows on the WCSU campus cover a variety of genres, and all are on sale this Friday at noon through Ticketmaster.
First up is Moe. with The Wood Brothers on June 1. Gov’t Mule plays the next day, on June 2. Those concerts are $35 for reserved seats or $20 on the lawn. If both sound good, save a few bucks with special two-day tickets at $50 for seats or $30 on the lawn.
The Summerland Tour stops in on July 19, with a few alt-rock bands that you likely either A) love with nostalgic vigor or B) hate with a sickening passion. Everclear tops the bill, which also features Live, Filter, and Sponge. Those tickets are $35 for seats and $20 on the lawn.
Bradi Carlile plays on July 20*, with tickets at $39.50 or $25 on the lawn. (Note: The date was moved from July 21 to 20)
Topping the list of announced concerts are the smooth sounds of the silken-voiced Tony Bennett. He’ll be at the park Saturday, July 13, with tickets at $86 for seats and $36 on the lawn.

Fun fact: Tony Bennett told the Associated Press last week that he is working on “a big swing album” with none other than Lady Gaga. There’s no mention at all of the two performing together in Danbury, but here’s a video of them performing the classic “The Lady Is A Tramp”:
