Make Do And Mend just released their sophomore full length, and come to Hartford on the Van's Warped Tour next month. (Handout / Heather Mcgrath)

It’s been a busy few years for Make Do And Mend.

In the time since their first full length, “End Measured Mile,” the West Hartford natives landed a spot on the Vans Warped Tour, moved to Boston, jumped to Rise Records, and released an EP somewhere between.

Their sophomore effort, “Everything You Ever Loved,” was just released this past Tuesday. It’s a bit of a departure from 2010′s “End Measured Mile,” with far less punk aggression and more of a straight up rock angst.

The post-hardcore influenced sound isn’t totally gone, though it seems like the band has matured a little bit. Vocalist James Carroll still belts out here and there on tracks like “Royal” and “Storrow.” He must be progressing with his studies at the Dave Grohl vocal academy, as his shouts sound more like the Foo frontman with each listen (the school may not actually exist, but especially listen for it on “Disassemble”).

Overall it’s the same band, just a little older and perhaps wiser.

You can catch Make Do And Mend in a little less than a month when Vans Warped Tour rolls through Hartford July 22. Tickets to the Comcast Theatre concert are still available through Live Nation.
