If you missed the VIP package presale, tickets for Sublime with Rome at the Scion Festival Stage at Comcast Theatre on Aug. 19 also go on sale Friday, 10 a.m., through www.ticketmaster.com.
Southern rock and barbeque come together for the Lynyrd Skynyrd cookout concert with morning rock jocks Chaz & AJ Friday, 10 a.m. Aug. 17. Tickets for the Oakdale patio event go on sale Friday, June 1 through Ticketmaster. Tickets cost between $47.50 and $67.50.
Also going on sale Friday is the Carnival of Madness Tour, featuring Evanescence, Chevelle, Cavo, and New Medicine. The purported insanity comes to the Mohegan Sun Arena Thursday, Aug. 30. Tickets are $35 and available through www.ticketmaster.com starting at 10 a.m.
Mohegan Sun reports a glimmer of hope for Van Halen fans. According to the casino, the band has only “temporarily postponed” their Uncasville concert. However no future date was announced, and refunds are still available at their point of purchase.
Over at Mohegan’s Wolf Den, the Nitty Gritty Band had to postpone their performance Saturday, June 1 because of a family emergency. Kix Brooks of Brooks and Dunn will make a substitute performance.
The Webster Underground hosts the Vans Warped Tour Series in late June and early July. Local bands will compete over a series of four shows for a place on Hartford’s Warped Tour stop. All the shows cost $10 each. Specific dates and tickets are available at www.webstertheatre.com. The Warped Tour will bring Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard, New Found Glory, and dozens more punk bands to the Comcast Theatre on July 22 for $35.
MC Chris, the nerdcore rapper who can claim numerous Adult Swim television shows on his resume, comes to the Pearl Street Clubroom in Northampton Saturday, July 14. Tickets are $15.
The Dunwells perform at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton Monday, July 23. Tickets are $12.50. Grammy award winner Paula Cole comes to the venue Friday, Aug. 10for $32.50.
