Gravel-voiced singer-songwriter Ray LaMontagne will perform at the Toyota Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford on Tuesday, June 3, according to a Live Nation press release. Jason Isbell will open.
LaMontagne’s Supernova Summer Tour reaches 42 cities, starting on May 27 in Portland, ME and stretching all the way west to Seattle on Aug. 13. (Full schedule here.) The Grammy winner’s new album, “Supernova,” produced by Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys in Nashville, is set for a May 6 release. (Listen to the first single, “Supernova,” below.)
Isbell, who released the incredible “Southeastern” last year (and is no stranger to Connecticut), is booked as the opener for much of the first part of the tour (including the Wallingford show), with Jenny Lewis taking over in mid-July. The Belle Brigade plays the entire run, with additional support to be determined.
Tickets ($35-$69.50) go on sale this Friday, March 14 at 10 a.m. through ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.
