Tonight SUNN O))) plays the second show at the newly invigorated Club INT on Broad Street in New Britain, a venue formerly known as the Sports Palace.
SUNN O))) is a droney doom metal band named for a line of amplifiers and cabinets known for their crushing tones and ability to get very, very loud. That is exactly what SUNN O))) is expected to do on Labor Day: get very heavy and very, very loud.
Expect theatrics as well. Drone is more about tone and atmosphere than chord progression. Look at the picture above. Those cloaks aren’t just for a photo op.
