Southern soul rockers Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks haul their 11-piece band up to Simsbury for a show on Thursday, Aug. 14, according to a press release we just received.

The show takes place at Simsbury Meadows (22 Iron Horse Blvd.) starting at 7 p.m. (5 p.m. doors). Tickets ($19-$78) go on sale this Friday, March 21 at 10 a.m. through ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000.

TTB’s 2011 debut album, “Revelator,” won a Grammy award for Best Blues Album, and a studio follow-up, “Made Up Mind,” came out last year. Between the two records, TTB released a double-live album, “Everybody’s Talkin’,” which included selections recorded at a 2011 show at the Klein in Bridgeport.
