The Telegraph Record Store is celebrating its third birthday this weekend with a day full of live music and giveaways.

This Saturday, Oct. 5, has the record store giving away t-shirts, tote bags, and more. Music starts at 4:30 p.m. with Sue Menhart, followed by The Root Farmers at 5, Roz Raskin and the Rice Cakes at 6, Street People at 7, and Slander at 8p.m.

The Telegraph is one of the few independently run music stores left in Connecticut. Since its opening in 2010, the New London record store has been a focal point for the city’s music scene. Between owners Rich and Daphne Lee Martin, the two operate events at the Hygienic Art park and gallery, organize the annual I AM Festival, and run a local record label. That’s not to mention Daphne’s musical career.
