Upcoming Concerts: Alicia Keys, Muse, Man Without Country
Alicia Keys has announced a tour in support of her new album ‘Girl On Fire,’ and she’ll be making a stop at MGM Grand at Foxwoods. She performed at the Mashantucket casino on her last tour in 2010.
Tickets to the April 6 concert go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at Foxwoods.com, with prices from $95 – $150.
Muse, the multi-platinum promoters of a new rock revolution, will be playing at Mohegan Sun one week later on April 13. Those tickets are also on sale Friday at 10 a.m., for $45 and $65, through Ticketmaster.
Godsmack’s Sully Erna has a few regional tour dates set in support of his solo work. He’ll be performing at the Moegan Sun Arena on Sunday, March 24. Tickets are $25 and on sale Saturday, Jan 19, at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.
The Webster Theatre is hosting two of Godsmack’s contemporaries, Sevendust and Coal Chamber on April 14. Tickets are $28 in advance and $32 at the door. The show goes on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. through webstertheatre.com.
Drive By Truckers have two area dates planned, first at Toad’s Place on March 7. Tickets are $22 in advance ($25 day of), and on sale Friday at noon through toadsplace.com. They play a week later at the Calvin Theatre in Northampton on March 14. That show is also on sale Friday, through iheg.com for $25.
Rapper Moufy is playing the Iron Horse again on Feb. 15, along with Matt Maratea. Tickets are $12.50 through iheg.com.
Electro pop and puppet shows combine at Cafe Nine for Quintron And Miss Pussycat. The duo perform April 17. Tickets are $10 through manicproductions.org.
The Wales duo Man Without Country are playing a handful of East Coast dates, including the free weekly show at BAR in New Haven on March 6. Child Actor open.
Infinity Hall has folk star Eric Anderson performing a 2 p.m. matinee show on April 7. Tickets go on sale Thursday Jan. 17 through infinityhall.com for $30 and $45.
Grammy-nominated guitarist Ottmar Liebert and his band Luna Negra play at Infinity June 14. Those tickets are also on sale Jan. 17 through the venue’s website, for $45 and $65.
Coming up this week:
90′s fan favorites Guster are playing at The Calvin on Thursday, but with a little twist. It’s a night of acoustic music, with the Guster String Players. Get The Led Out are at the Calvin a few days later, on Saturday night.
Saturday has a 12-band tribute to R.E.M. at the Iron Horse in Northampton. Proceeds go to benefit The Cancer Connection.
The Soft Moon, Majical Cloudz, and Phemale are at The Outer Space on Saturday night.
Sunday has the twelfth installment of Bowzer’s Doo-Wop at Mohegan Sun, while Toad’s Place is hosting a Martin Luther King Day Funkfest.
