This week proved to be really good for Connecticut area concert announcements.
First up is David Byrne & St. Vincent. The two are touring together off last fall’s “Love This Giant,” with summer stops that include a few major festivals as well as New Haven’s Shubert Theater June 20. Tickets are available through the venue’s site, www.shubert.com, on Friday at 10 a.m. Seats are $58, $68, and $78.
Soundgarden toyed with some reunion shows a few years back, including one at Mohegan. After releasing their first album in 15 years, the band is on a full blown tour. It stops at the Toyota Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford on May 17. Tickets are on sale Saturday, March 2, at 10 a.m. through Live Nation and go for $35, $45, and $75.
Motley Crue haven’t given up on touring yet, they’ve got a reputation to maintain. They’re tearing it up at Mohegan Sun on May 18. Tickets are on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $59 and $79.
Mark down June 27 on your calendars. That’s the day Bruno Mars has booked at the Mohegan Sun arena. As of this writing, ticketing info was still being worked on. Stay tuned for the details.
Back before party rock was a catchy dance single, Andrew W.K. was busy making it a reality. He marks a return to Hartford on April 19 with an all ages show at Arch Street Tavern. Tickets are on sale Friday at noon through manicproductions.org for $20.
Blues royalty Buddy Guy is playing at the Calvin Theater on August 2 along with Quinn Sullivan. Tickets are on sale Friday at iheg.com and go for $35, $45, and $55.
European blues phenom Ana Popovic is going to be playing Infinity Hall on April 21. Tickets are on sale Thursday, Feb. 28 for $30 and $45 at infinityhall.com.

Stephanie Wrembel is playing the Iron Horse on May 16, and Sarah Jarosz is there on July 25. Both shows are $18 in advance at iheg.com, or $20 at the door.
HRVRD is playing at The Space on April 16 with Daylight, and Lady Lamb the Beekeeper is at Cafe Nine on May 10. Both shows are definitely worth checking out, and are sale Friday at noon for $10 through manicproductions.org.
