Eric Clapton, one of the original gangsters of rock and roll, is bringing his U.S. tour to Mohegan Sun.
Clapton will be at the arena on April 5, with The Wallflowers opening. Tickets go on sale Monday, Dec 3 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $135 and $185.
The tour ends on April 12, when Slowhand and a few dozen of his fellow rock and blues legends puts on the fourth Crossroads Music Festival at Madison Square Garden in New York. Ticket prices weren’t available at press time, but the two-day festival is on sale to the public Nov 30 through Ticketmaster.
On April 14, the day after performing at Crossroads, blues king Buddy Guy will be at the Ridgefield Playhouse. Tickets to his concert are $90, and on sale now at ridgefieldplayhouse.org.
Jason Aldean is coming to Mohegan Sun along with Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett. Tickets to the Feb 28 show are on sale Nov 30 at 10 a.m. for $75 and $95 through Ticketmaster.
The winner of American Idol’s 2009 season, Kris Allen, will be at the Iron Horse in Northampton on Sunday, April 28. Tickets are on sale now for $15 through iheg.com. If you can’t wait until then, Allen is also at the Ridgefield Playhouse on Jan 10. Tickets to that show are $37.50, or $80 for a special meet and greet package. It’s on sale now at ridgefieldplayhouse.org.
Leon Russell has rescheduled his date at Infinity Hall in Norfolk originally moved because of Superstorm Sandy. The show will be Jan 14, and is back on sale Nov 22 for $50 and $70 at infinityhall.com.
The Misfits have also announced their new Connecticut date after being cancelled by the storm. The show has moved from New Britain’s Club INT to Hartford’s Great Hall at Union Station, and will take place Dec 7. Tickets are on sale now at ticketfly.com for $18.
The Calvin Theatre is hosting Bela Fleck’s Banjo Summit on Jan 18. Tickets to this finger-picking fiesta are on sale Friday Nov 23 at iheg.com, and range from $25 to $45.
Ska fans can skank it up for free at BAR on Dec 19, when Spring Heeled Jack plays a free acoustic set along with King Django and Vic Ruggiero from The Slackers.
