Singer-songwriter Jason Mraz’s “YES!” tour swings through the Bushnell in Hartford on Sunday, Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m., backed by all-girl pop band Raining Jane (they played behind him on the “YES!” album too). Tickets ($25-$75) for Mraz’s Bushnell performance go on sale this Friday, July 18 at 10 a.m. at bushnell.org or by phone at 860-987-5900.

The KC 101 Summer Fling, starring actor-turned-songwriter Jesse McCartney, Katy Tiz and the Heydaze, heads to the Dome at Oakdale in Wallingford on Sunday, Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. Tickets ($25) go on sale this Friday, July 18 at 10 a.m. through ticketmaster.com or oakdale.com.

Indie soul-funksters Kat Wright and the Indomitable Soul Band ($19-$29) head to Infinity Hall in Norfolk on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 8 p.m., with Boston’s Naked Stills. The two-guitar attack of Wishbone Ash ($34-$49) assaults Infinity on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m., followed by the Jammin’ Divas ($25-$35) on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 7:30 p.m. with special guests Long Time Courting. Toronto-based world-fusioneers Enter The Haggis ($35-$50) visit Norfolk on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. Tickets to all shows can be purchased at infinityhall.org.

Kevin Morby of indie-rock band Woods ($10) performs at the Space in Hamden on Sunday, Aug. 24 at 7:30 p.m., followed by hip-hop explorer Astronautalis ($14) on Friday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m., with Sarah Jaffe and Transit opening. Vermont singer-songwriter Anais Mitchell ($10-$12) heads to the Outer Space in Hamden on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 8:30 p.m. A double-bill of Ex Hex, featuring Mary Timony (Helium, Wild Flag), and Speedy Ortiz plays at Halloween show ($12) at the Space on Friday, Oct. 31 at 7:30 p.m. Visit manicproductions.org for tickets and more information.

New Orleans jazz-funksters Galactic ($38-$43) return to Ridgefield Playhouse for a show on Sunday, July 27 at 8 p.m. New Wavers the Fixx ($38) head to Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, Aug. 8 at 8 p.m. to play an all-request show (the audience votes on the set list in advance) and lots of interactive storytelling. Innovative guitarist Charlie Hunter and drummer Scott Amendola ($15-$20) play the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. Singer-songwriter Carrie Rodriguez ($12.50-$15) heads to the Iron Horse on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. Journeyman Greg Brown ($35-$40) plays the Iron Horse on Sunday, March 1 at 7 p.m., followed by Celtic outfit Dicey Riley ($12-$14) on Sunday, March 15. The Wailin’ Jennys ($28.50-$38.50) are booked for a show at Northampton’s Calvin Theatre on Friday, May 1 at 8 p.m. D.C. metalheads Periphery ($15-$18) perform at Northampton’s Pearl Street Ballroom on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m., with the Contortionist, Intervals and Toothgrinder opening. Cancellations: British girl-group Little Mix announced they’re cancelling their North American tour so that they can “work on their new album” (lame). This affects fans who bought tickets to the Saturday, Oct. 4 show at the Toyota Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford (head to point of purchase for refunds). The Bacon Brothers have cancelled their upcoming Aug. 30 show at the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den (that one’s free, though). Mickey Dolenz, of Monkees fame, will perform instead (showtime is 8 p.m.).
