If there was a dearth in concert announcements recently, the last seven days have made up for it.

Jeff Mangum, one of recent memory’s most influential names in indie music, is playing Hartford in February.

The show will be at the Great Hall at Union Station on Feb 8. Tickets are $30 and go on sale Thursday at noon via manicproductions.org, or at Redscroll Records in Wallingford.

Coldplay has announced three new concerts in the United States, including one at Mohegan Sun on Dec 29. Tickets are $95 and $150, and go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through ticketmaster.com. Two days later the band spends New Year’s Eve with Jay-Z. If you’re inclined to drive to Brooklyn, those tickets are $70 or $500, and on sale Saturday at 10 a.m.

Also worth noting is an additional date for the Rolling Stones at Brooklyn’s Barclay Center on Dec 8. Those tickets are $99.50-$754.40 (yep, still extraordinarily expensive) and on sale Monday, Nov 19 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

Now back to Uncasville-

In an odd pairing, The Hives are opening for P!nk’s tour date at Mohegan Sun. (Handout)

In a match that could only be pulled from early 2000’s top 40 radio, The Hives have been added to P!nk’s March 27 Mohegan tour date. Tickets are still available for $89.50 or $110 through Ticketmaster.

Aaron Lewis of Staind is also playing the Mohegan arena early next year, Jan 26. Tickets are $30 and on sale now through Ticketmaster. Matchbox Twenty is at the casino on March 8. Tickets are $49.50, and on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.

The Used is at the Webster Underground on Feb 1 for the Take Action Tour. It’s a far cry from their heyday when they performed the big room next door, but hey, things change. We Came As Romans, Crown The Empire, and Mindflow open. Tickets are $27.50 at webstertheatre.com.

They’re without Natalie Merchant, but 10,000 Maniacs are coming to Infinity Hall in Norfolk on Feb 7, with tickets at $80 or $100. Rusted Root bring the funk around four months later, June 28, for $49 or $69. Both shows are on sale Thursday Nov 15 at infinityhall.com.

The Saw Doctors are coming to the Calvin Theater in Northampton on March 2. That show goes on sale Friday at iheg.com for $28.50.

Get over the Thanksgiving hangover on Black Friday with local rockers You Scream I Scream, MT Bearington, and Weird Beards at Cafe Nine on Nov 23. Tickets are eight bucks.

Coming up this week:

Rubblebucket and Reptar are at Pearl Street on Friday night. At Bridge Street Live, J. Geils will be kicking off the weekend.

Nov 16 also sees Fountains of Wayne at the Wolf Den, and David Dondero at The Outer Space.

Leeanne Rimes will be at the Warner Theatre in Torrington Saturday night.

Anberlin plays the Webster Theatre Sunday night.
