Nine time Grammy award winner John Legend is coming to MGM Grand at Foxwoods this fall.

Stach Barthe opens for Legend at the Oct. 26 concert. Tickets are on sale now through foxwoods.com, and prices range from $45 to $65.

A few big hip hop concerts were also announced this past week in Connecticut.

First up is Wiz Khalifa, who’s coming to the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport. Play hard before working hard, because the concert is a Sunday night, Oct. 14. Tickets are on sale at noon Friday through Ticketmaster for $40.55 and $50.80.

Life Is Good for Nas, who dropped an album by that name last month. He’s coming to MGM Grand at Foxwoods Saturday, September 22. Tickets range from $38 to $78, and go on sale Friday at 11 a.m. at foxwoods.com.

Snoop Dogg was announced to play Toad’s Place on Friday, Sept. 28, though his new ego Snoop Lion will more than likely show up. The rapper is now reborn a Rastafarian, and is expected to release a reggae album called “Reincarnated” soon. Tickets to the 18+ show go on sale Aug. 23 for $37.50 through toadsplace.com.

There’s no question about the music style of Matisyahu. The Hasidic reggae artist is also playing Toad’s in New Haven, on Nov. 4. Tickets are on sale Friday at noon for $25.

Regina Spektor is coming to the Jorgensen theater at UConn Saturday, Oct. 6. Tickets are $25 for UConn students and $35 to the general public. They can be purchased at jorgensen.uconn.edu, or by calling 860-486-4226.

Silversun Pickups, who were just in the press for requesting a cease-and-desist from the Romney campaign using their music, will be coming to the Webster Theatre Friday Oct. 19. Cloud Nothings and Atlas Genius open. Tickets are $30, and available at webstertheatre.com at 10 a.m. Friday.

Converge are poised to tear up Club INT on Oct. 12 alongside Torche and Kvelertak. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door, and on sale Friday at noon through manicproductions.org.

Manic Productions also bring Local H to Hartford’s Arch Street Tavern Oct. 16. Tickets are $12 in advance, starting Friday at noon, or $15 at the door.

Lake Street Dive are playing the Iron Horse Saturday, Oct. 27, and Jon McLaughlin plays the Northampton venue Oct. 16. Tickets for either show are $12.50 in advance through iheg.com, or $15 at the door.

Infinity Hall will welcome The Smithereens Dec. 9, with tickets costing $45 or $60. They go on sale Aug. 23 through infinityhall.com.

The Wanted and Carly Rae Jepsen are at the Mohegan Sun Arena Friday night. Please hold all jokes that end with “maybe.” Audiences that are more accustomed to New Wave can opt for Duran Duran at MGM Grand.

It’s been almost 20 years since “Core” by Stone Temple Pilots came out. Think about that. Now think about seeing STP at MGM Grand Saturday night.

Jason Mraz is at the Comcast Saturday night, and the Carnival of Madness featuring Evanescence and Chavelle is at Mohegan next Thursday.
