The world is going to Hell In A Handbasket, or at least that’s what Meat Loaf will convince you when his tour, in support of his latest album with a Hell-related name, stops at the Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, Oct. 27. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. for $30 through Ticketmaster.
Also coming in October is one of the original purveyors of 90′s “angry chick music,” Alanis Morissette. She plays at the Palace Theater Friday, Oct. 19.
Morissette’s newest album, Havoc And Bright Lights, comes out Aug. 28. Tickets for her Waterbury performance range from $45 to $100, and go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through www.palacetheaterct.org.
Canton will be the scene of a psychobilly freakout Tuesday, Dec. 11 when Reverend Horton Heat plays Bridge Street Live. Tickets are $25 and on sale now at 41bridgestreet.com
Connecticut’s hip hop scene made a splash recently with Jitta On The Track opening for Drake on his latest tour. Southington’s lumberjack kid plays Toad’s Place on Aug. 30 with a bevy of other locals for the release of the ‘CT On Deck – Smoking Aces’ mixtape. Tickets are $20 at the door or $16 in advance through toadsplace.com, and the first 100 people through the door get a free copy of the tape.
Toad’s will be one of the last stops made by Beanie Sigel before doing a two year stint for tax evasion. Tickets for the Sept. 6 show are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and available through toadsplace.com
Latin pop star Prince Royce will play The Dome at Oakdale Wednesday, Sept. 26. Tickets are $32.50 and go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.
New Britain’s Club INT has been picking up their pace booking shows. Hed P.E. and locals Klokwize play Sept. 26 for $17, and Mark Tremonti from Creed and Alter Bridge plays Sept. 25 for $20. Tickets to both are available on ticketfly.com.
To the north, Grace Potter and The Nocturnals will play the Calvin Theatre Sunday, Dec. 2. Tickets are on sale Friday for $26 through iheg.com.
At the Iron Horse, Stephane Wrembel, who gained exposure through the soundtrack to Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris,” plays Sept. 26 with advance tickets costing $17.50. BRAIDS, a dreamy electric pop band out of Montreal, plays Thursday Sept. 20 for $10 in advance. Both shows are on sale Friday through www.iheg.com.
Fuel, fronted by their original lineup, play next week’s downtown block party in Hartford. Tickets are $10 in advance through Ticketfly.
Infinity Hall is bringing some blues this fall, with Popa Chubby and Delta Moon on Oct. 25, and The Blues Project Nov. 8. Seats at both shows cost $25 or $35, and are on sale Thursday Aug. 16 through www.infinityhall.com
