It’ll be like days of future past in March, when ’60s prog-rockers the Moody Blues return to the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford.

Best known for a handful of psychedelic, string-infused hits like “Nights in White Satin” and “Tuesday Afternoon,” the Moodys — longtime members Justin Hayward, John Lodge, Graeme Edge and company — just keep on keepin’ on. Their Timeless Flight Tour 2014 drifts by on Friday, March 14 at 8 p.m. Tickets ($38-$58) go on sale this Friday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. through ticketmaster.com and oakdale.com, or charge by phone at 800-745-3000.

EDM Alert: The Animal House Tour featuring Bro Safari, Torro Torro, Crnkn, 12 Planet and others, heads to the Dome at Oakdale on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 8 p.m. Tickets go for $30 (general admission, standing room only). Boston post-punk legends Mission Of Burma ($20-$25) play the Spaceland Ballroom in Hamden on Thursday, February 6, at 9 p.m. Songwriter and former Sunbrain singer David Dondero ($10) heads to the Outer Space in Hamden on Friday, January 10 at 9 p.m. Oregon indie-rockers Typhoon ($13-$15), all 11 (!) members of them, play the Spaceland Ballroom on Tuesday, March 25 at 8 p.m., with Lady Lamb the Beekeeper opening. Piedmont-style neo/retro string band Carolina Chocolate Drops ($25-$35) beat a path to the Calvin Theatre in Northampton on Friday, April 11 at 8 p.m., followed by Miami country-rockers The Mavericks ($29.50-$39.50) on Thursday, May 8 at 8 p.m. Tickets for both shows go on sale this Friday, Dec. 13 at the Northampton Box Office, 413-586-8686 or online at iheg.com.

Pop/hip-hop hybrid Emblem3 ($30, $50), who made a splash on the 2012 season of “The X Factor USA,” announced their first national headline tour, which includes a stop at MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods in Mashantucket on February 22 at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. at foxwoods.com. Old-school disco legends KC and the Sunshine Band ($20-$40) play Foxwoods on Sunday, Dec. 29 at 8 p.m.

Funk/soul peddlers Tower of Power ($55-$75) head to Infinity Hall in Norfolk for two shows on February 14 at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Ex-J. Geils Band frontman Peter Wolf ($29, $44) hits Norfolk on February 21 at 8 p.m. (Hopefully he’ll play the post-Valentine’s Day anthem “Love Stinks.”) Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys ($29, $39) make their Infinity Hall debut on February 27 at 8 p.m., followed by Soul Sound Revue ($29, $39) on March 7 at 8 p.m. Purchase tickets at 866-666-6306 or online at infinityhall.com.
