Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, living legend and righteous guitar shredder Prince will arrive at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville for three post-Christmas concerts.
The Purple One (and relatively new Twitter guy) announced his first-ever shows at the casino on Friday, Dec. 27, Saturday, Dec. 28 and Sunday, Dec. 29. All three performances start at 8 p.m. The three dates are Prince’s only East Coast shows for the foreseeable future, and with three 90-minute time slots to fill and a huge back catalog of hits to draw from, expect a mix of deep cuts, crowd pleasers and quirky covers.

If your holiday shopping is done (you sicko), start planning your summer by grabbing tickets for the Gathering of the Vibes. Management can’t confirm performers yet, but tickets for the festival, which takes place at Seaside Park in Bridgeport on July 31-Aug. 3, 2014, go on sale on Black Friday, Nov. 29. Two spring shows for EDM fans: trance out to Infected Mushroom ($20-$25), who’ll play on March 1 at the Dome at Oakdale in Wallingford; tickets go on sale on Monday, Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. Excision ($26-$30) performs at the Dome on Friday, March 28 (tickets went on sale last week).
