Sublime with Rome – Sublime bass player Eric Wilson’s revamped project with vocalist Rome Ramirez — heads to the Dome at Oakdale in Wallingford on Sunday, Aug. 10 at 7:30 p.m. The band played its first big gig in 2009 at Cypress Hill’s annual Smokeout Festival and has since toured extensively. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ 2014 North American Tour kicks off in San Diego, Calif. on Aug. 3 and includes a stop at Hartford’s XL Center on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 7:30 p.m.
The band will also release “Hypnotic Eye,” its first studio album in four years, on July 29. This summer Petty and Co. will appear as headliners at San Francisco’s Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival and at the Lockn’ Festival in Arrington, Virginia. They’ll be at Fenway Park in Boston on Labor Day Weekend. Steve Winwood joins them on tour as the opening act.
