Upcoming Shows: Slash In Wallingford, Hall & Oates, Coheed, SUNN O)))
Dust off the top hat and get to Wallingford Sept. 15, as Slash, featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, will play The Dome at Oakdale.
The Guitar Hero entrepreneur (and guitarist for G&R and Velvet Revolver) is touring on his album “Apocalyptic Love,” released in May. General admission tickets are $39.50, and available Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.
Hall & Oates will be playing the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods November 30. Ticket prices range from $35 to $60, and go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through foxwoods.com.
The Bushnell in Hartford welcomes Art Garfunkel on September 6. Tickets to his performance in the Belding Theater are on sale now, and cost $48.50 for mezzanine seats, $68 in the orchestra, and $125 for front orchestra tickets. They can be purchased through bushnell.org.
P.O.D. will be playing The Great Hall at Hartford’s Union Station on Thursday, August 30. You can get tickets this weekend on ticketfly.com starting Friday at 10 a.m. for $10.69 (WCCC is sponsoring the show). After Sunday they’ll be $15, and $17 at the door.
Coheed And Cambria have been regulars at the Webster Theater on just about every tour. With a new album slated for early October, Coheed is making a return to Hartford Sept. 26. Tickets are $27.50, and go on sale Friday through webstertheater.com.
If doom is your thing, SUNN O))) will be playing the newly christened Club INT, once known as the Sports Palace, at 16 Broad Street in New Britain on Sept. 3. Tickets go on sale Friday at noon for $20 through manicproductions.org
Less Than Jake has cancelled their show at Toad’s Place, which was originally slated for Sept. 11. Ska fans can sit tight, because Toad’s is hosting a “Skalapalooza” Oct. 26 with Spring Heeled Jack, The Pilfers, Hardcore Karaoke Pile-On Extravaganza, and The Pietasters. Tickets are $20. The Pietasters also play a free show at the Wolf Den on Sunday, Sept. 30.
Brandi Carlile will play the Calvin Theater in Northampton Thursday, Oct. 25. Tickets range from $26 to $46, and go on sale Friday through iheg.com.
Dark Star Orchestra are also playing the Calvin Nov. 18, just a few weeks before their performance at The Dome at Oakdale. Tickets are $27 through iheg.com, going on sale Friday.
Bad Rabbits, an electro funk punk outfit, play the Iron Horse Sept. 7. Tickets are $12 in advance, and $15 at the door.

MGM Grand has Steve Miller Band and George Thorogood this Friday, and Joe Cocker with Huey Lewis & The News Saturday. Wu Block is at Toad’s Place Saturday.
Sunday will be a day not of rest, but a day of chaos at Mayhem Fest. Slayer, Motorhead, Anthrax, and many more play the Comcast Theatre starting at 1 p.m.
Psychic Paramount will play at BAR in New Haven on Wednesday night.
