Apple Will Pay Cold Hard Gift Cards For Your Old iPhone
Rumblings and grumblings of a new iPhone coming soon may be making some people think about trading their current phone in for a new one.
There are places like Gazelle.com that do this already, but there is a way you can keep it all in the family. Apple has a trade in program for all electronic devices, and will pay for late model devices with Apple gift cards which you can then turn around and buy new devices. Maybe even that rumored new iPhone.
A 64G iPhone 4S, black and in perfect condition will get you $345 as of this writing. That is $15 more than Gazelle is offering for a similar 64G iPhone 4S from Verizon. But the prices are always in flux and could change.
If you have a computer of mobile phone that is older and has no trade in value, Apple will offer to recycle the device in an environmentally friendly manner.
Apple contracts a firm called PowerON to provide the estimates and another firm, Sims Recycling Solutions, to recycle unwanted devices.

I haven’t heard about anything earth shattering, feature-wise, that would make me want to switch anyway. I’ll guess the actual launch may still change my mind.
What features would you like to see?
