Bloomfield-based Cigna Insurance has been named to the top ten list of technology innovations of 2012 by InformationWeek.

The company won for it’s myCigna.com feature, “Find Doctors and Services,” a search engine designed to help customers find health care providers and the price for the procedure. The pricing is based on actual cost of claims rather than estimate.

Other companies that won top honors are Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Deere & Co., Zynga Inc., Vail Resorts Inc., E. & J. Gallo Winery, Quintiles, UPS Inc., Dow Chemical Co., Lowe’s Companies Inc.
