A trip to Italy by a group of 80 area Catholics and lead by Archbishop Henry Mansel, will be shared via social media with those who couldn’t make the journey.

The trip, called the Year of Faith Pilgrimage, is scheduled to visit holy sites throughout Italy from May 20th to 29th. The Archbishop will write about the trip on Facebook, twitter (@archmansell), and his blog. The group will spend time in Rome,  Assisi, Siena, Florence, Padua and Venice.

In a press release, the Archdiocese said, “While in Rome, they will attend the Papal Audience with Pope Francis, and visit the four major basilicas: St. Peter, St. Mary Major, St. Paul Outside the Walls and St. John Lateran.”

The group will depart from John F. Kennedy International Airport on Monday.
