As reported by Ina Fried at All Things D, eight members of the Congressional Privacy Caucus have asked Google CEO Larry Page to address whether the device will use facial recognition software; what privacy steps the company is taking to protect bystanders and how Glass will fit into the companies existing privacy policies.

Google has said it does not have facial recognition in Glass yet (but they can see it happening,) and that the company’s current privacy policy is sufficient.

K. Rowling.

The trip, called the Year of Faith Pilgrimage, is scheduled to visit holy sites throughout Italy from May 20th to 29th. The Archbishop will write about the trip on Facebook, twitter (@archmansell), and his blog. The group will spend time in Rome,  Assisi, Siena, Florence, Padua and Venice.

In a press release, the Archdiocese said, “While in Rome, they will attend the Papal Audience with Pope Francis, and visit the four major basilicas: St. Peter, St. Mary Major, St. Paul Outside the Walls and St. John Lateran.”

The group will depart from John F. Kennedy International Airport on Monday.

According to The Verge, Google did not make a YouTube app for the new Windows mobile operating system, so Microsoft made one of their own. However it doesn’t support advertising. And therein lies the problem for the folks in Mountain View.

Microsoft has said they will welcome ads if Google allows it.
