Nintendo Changes Game To Eliminate Same Sex Marriage

by Categorized: games Date:

A Nintendo virtual reality game released in Japan allowed male characters to marry will get a software update to eliminate that scenario.

Questions arose after players of the popular new game Tomodachi Collection: New Life realized that men could marry men. They could also date, and raise children. Female characters in the game could not have the same interactions with one another.

NPR.org says the game which works on the Nintendo 3GS is among the top selling games in Japan and is not available in the United States. Same sex marriage is not legal in Japan.
