Baseball, Ice Cream And The American Foundation For Suicide Prevention
Please see this email from friend and WFSB TV sportscaster John Holt….participate for a good cause – thanks John…
Dear Friends,
4 years ago I began organizing a charity event with the New Britain Rock Cats. This year on August 5th we will hold Scooper Sunday IV with proceeds once again benefiting the important work being done by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) – a cause close to my family and countless others.
Scooper Sunday is a Rock Cats baseball game and all the ice cream you can eat from 9 generous vendors. An ice cream tent is set up outside the stadium up the right field line and ticketholders are able to leave and return to their seats as often as they ‘d like to come out and sample ice cream and Italian ice from our participating vendors. The ice cream tent is open from 12 pm to roughly 4pm. First pitch vs. the Altoona Curve is set for 1:35pm.
Also that day, kids can run the bases after the game and there will be a special appearance by the Russian Bar Trio which has been featured on America’s Got Talent:
Rock Cat games make for a wonderful family outing and Scooper Sunday just adds to the experience. Please check us out on Facebook:

Tickets that include baseball and all-you-can-eat-ice cream are priced as follows:
$10 general admission
$15 reserved seating (seat back)
I hope you’ll join me that day or consider making a donation of tickets that can be given to deserving local groups.
Thanks. Please email me should you be interested.
