Why is USF picked to finish so high every preseason?

Dez I know you may not want to hear it, but with all the pre-season all big east lists out there in the sportsworld right now (athalon, scout, espn, etc) UCONN is either at the top or close to the top as far as having the most talent. well then how are they getting picked to finish 6th or bottom 1/3rd in most polls? Something tells me that its more of a reflection on coaching than talent
I think we’ll just have to wait and see but I know no ones actually knows how the season will turn out. I think sixth place is a stretch.

Connecticut could end up 4-8 or 9-3. I’d say that for almost all of the team in the Big East this year.
syracuse wont end up 9-3 even if the run the BE becuase their OOC is so damn tough

they lose to USC, Mizzou, and then split between Northwestern and Minnesota. thats 3 loses.
Yea ok. Didn’t know they had that played a decent OOC schedule. Not that Minn is a hard game but the other 3 are.
minnesota isnt a hard game, but i dont think cuse is that good either

Based on your unbiased(Cuse grad)pick a couple of weeks ago with Uconn # 2 in Big Easy. This season should be a lot of fun knocking out the big boys. With Consistant QB play and the OL straighting out I see no reason for the Huskies to not come in ahead of at least 6 teams. Defense wins championships or at least puts us in a position to do better than 6th. Can’t wait for the season to start. Go huskies, stay healthy.
Absolutely no surprises here. The only spots in question were the order of 2-4. This league is wide open this year. No reason we can’t contend with improved QB and OL play from last year.
Finally, it’s time for some football.
DC my man, no big surprise here. Going to have to do this the normal way for UConn, which is take teams by surprise and use that underdog mentality..again! Cant wait for the season to start.
