Kermit Buggs, who served as the running backs and special teams coach at UConn in 2013, sent out a tweet Tuesday night indicating that his fate on the Huskies coaching stuff under new head coach Bob Diaco has been sealed.

Buggs tweeted: “Thanks to all to all the #UConnFootball family! It has been a great experience here. Best of luck to the great players and fans next year!”

Diaco, the former defensive coordinator at Notre Dame, was introduced as UConn’s 30th coach last Thursday. He indicated then he would talk to each and every member of the 2013 staff about the future. Diaco said then he would give each assistant an opportunity through meetings which happened on Monday.

Buggs came to UConn in January from Lock Haven (2012) and Penn State (2003-2011).
