Mailbag April 30: Why Does Courant Have Story Up About A Player Who Never Played?

by Categorized: Mailbag Tagged: , Date:

Q: Why does the Courant have the story about the football player who never played a down for UCONN still up after a week? It’s even more ridiculous to put up such a headline and focus so much attention on a freshman who never was on the field. Alex Bluffton, S.C.

A: Alex: He – Greg McKee I’m assuming we’re talking about? – was recruited to play here, signed a letter of intent to play here and was at the school before the incident. The fact he never played is irrelevant. The incident is not. Maybe it should come down now I don’t know. I do know it’s not my decision what goes up, comes down, how long it stays etc. but if I could suggest maybe looking at another story on the page or Courant pages if it bothers you that much? Just a suggestion – Thanks Alex
