Q: Do we really think McCummings will be back? Persoanlly I still have my doubts. RST, Bolton

A: Who is we? Hey, it’s ok for you to have doubts, nothing can be done about that. Maybe Im a fool but i trust what i hear until i hear something else but thats just me, lol. I haven’t heard otherwise and I’ve been asking a plenty. Try to relax on it and realize too there’s a whole team that has to get ready for the season, too.

  1. UCONN FB says:

Need him back. The only QB on the roster with the scrambling skills to make a play when the play breaks down
which, if anyone is paying attention, is what wins college football games these days.

  2. mg says:

He is back as of Saturday, no?

  3. roberttherugguyraleigh says:

Alien probing? RST you would have been better served to ssy “you did not expect McCummings back”. While there are a lot of us following the team, take credit or ridicule for your own posts. I could have done without the “we”. Love TheJerk!

    • Navin R. Johnson says:

      @ roberttherugguyraleigh,

Be glad you don’t know TheJerk like I do. It’s painful at times and he’s rude.

  4. Navin R. Johnson says:

    DC 1…RST 0..

    • TheJerk says:

” The tendency to think the worst or negative about a situation around here is astounding” ummm Navin he is talking about you.

  5. RST says:

Relaxing just fine, thank you very much, DC. But geez, it kinda sounds like you need to follow your own advice, buddy. You gotta admit, the timing of McCummings’ absence seems a bit more than coincidental.

    • dconner says:

Not sure what you mean about following own advice. Re-read your mailbag question. The tendency to think the worst or negative about a situation around here is astounding. The coach gave an answer on the kid, said he expected him back and that wasn’t good enough. Today, the young man is back at practice, like he was always expected to be. I wasn’t doubtful.

      • RST says:

Guess I hit a nerve, but it was an obvious question. DC, you need to act like you are independent of the coaching staff and not get all huffy when probed further on a point.

        • dconner says:

It was an obvious question if you didnt believe the answer you were given on the topic. You still had your doubts, why? I Iike the coaching staff. I’m not ashamed to admit that. But I do think for myself and form my own opinion about things. Here’s one: we should
be more trusting of what we’re told until we hear or are told otherwise….

          • TheJerk says:

            lol, he said “probed”

          • RST says:

When told by the coaching staff or SID that he is “expected back” rather than “he’ll arrive on”, DC, that should suggest to you that there is some fine parsing of a phrase going on. It is not being negative to raise that point. Btw, you are debating with a guy who upgraded his tix this year and predicted a first place finish in the BE in your Mailbag (look it up). Don’t be so thin-skinned.

          • dconner says:

Thin-skinned? Seems to me you’re the one thats thin-skinned because you can’t let a dead issue go. I’m done with it. You can call me thin-skinned, too close to the staff, SID, whatever you want, it’s ok you have my permission to call me what’d you like.
