Q: Des– I gotta know. What’s going on with Andre Dixon these days. His talent is too high not to be picked up. Daniel, West Hartford

A: I’m not exactly sure. I happen to agree with you. I think what may be at issue for Dre now is the fact he’s 26 years old and doesn’t have NFL experience. Now if he got the opportunity I’m sure he’d show he belongs especially as hungry as he is right now – but I think that’s the deal. I always thought he’d be a great punt/kickoff returner and a situation guy at the next level, pass-catcher out the backfield on third down. I think his plans are to return the UFL )he was in Sacramento last year) and take it from there, I guess, but I’m with you. Talent is high. I do know he’s finding great joy working with kids here in state. He’s tailor-made for that, too, by the way.  So whatever he does, on a football field or off, wherever he is, he’ll always be an impact player Dan.
