Q: Hi Desmond. Has Michael Neibrich or Gilbert St. Louis narrowed their schools to which they are considering transferring? Do you see either one capable of playing D-1, or will they drop down a level? Thanks., Jeffrey, Hartford
A: Michael Nebrich announced he was going to Fordham shortly after he announced he was transferring. It’s a 1-AA school in the Bronx. He can play right away which is something I think he wanted to do. The same can be said for Gil however I don’t know his destination as of yet.

I tried to post the following comment to your Stlouis story but it appeared that I had to join facebook to do so which I refuse to do. I am not a fan of Facebook, do not belong and have no intention of belonging so why does it appear that I am required to join facebook in order to post a comment?
The comment I tried to post:
It always seems more than a bit sad to see a player leave the team especially after one or two years of eligibility and little action but a lot of hope and promise along the way. I was especially saddened to see Nebrich leave the team as he was a personal favorite from the time I saw his recruiting video when he first committed.
But sad as it is, because it is usually associated with an unrealized dream after an awful lot of work and hope, it appears that it is also the result of some apparently successful recruiting, the fruits of which we as fans haven’t seen yet but the players have apparently very much seen.
After one or two years of not having your dreams met and seeing new players come into the program who you believe will be ahead of you in the depth chart, it is totally natural for some players to want to go somewhere where they can be the player on the field rather than on the sidelines.
So as a fan I am both emotionally saddened with these departures, mindful of the transferees renewed hope for playing time elsewhere and very hopeful that our apparently talented new recruits and transfers will take us further along the path we all desire.
