Q: I recall there being some conversations about the University of Tennessee and UCONN playing a home and home in football. What ever happened with that? Jerry, West Hartford

A: In September 2008, UConn announced that it had signed a two-year agreement to play Tennessee. The first meeting is scheduled for Rentschler Field in East Hartford in 2015. The announced agreement also confirmed the second meeting would played at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn. in 2016.

I’m still trying to get Michigan’s fight song out of my freaking head.

Been there a few times to see the Vols play. Just a great atmosphere to see a college game. From the band to the Vols coming into the stadium through the giant T. 102,000 fans wearing orange and yes Dez is right, be prepared to hear Rocky Top over and over and over and over………………

Isn’t it something Dave? I said earlier UT is second to none. I should have second to 1: LSU. I’ve been to all the biggies except USC. LSU is on another level but the heat during the day…omg it is a REAL problem, lol

Dez—heard the pageantry of Knoxville and Neyland Stadium is the pinnacle and 2016 is a must-do trip…hope the series stays on firm ground…

Can confirm on Neyland and I hope as many UConn fans as possible get to experience the place because they will never forget it. Just a warning that you’ll hear Rocky Top in your sleep for a couple weeks but the experience is second to none, I hope it stays on for the fans here. I haven’t heard it’s off.

Thanks Dez—and I originally heard that the Neyland games was scheduled for Labor Day weekend….no excuses for us getting down there!
