The silence surrounding C. Cochran is a signal to me that he’s on his way out the door and looking for a place to land. That shoe will probably drop any day.
Many times high profile kids do not pan out. Many times unknown kids come out of nowhere and excel. I have seen QB’s that did not look good as soph-junior and really star as a senior. Bottom line, you just don’ know until they play. That’s the fun of college football.
True Jack!
You can be sure CC did not come to UConn thinking he would be here 5 years with no competition. He has a year in the system and will be competing for the starters role in the spring. Should CW not cut down on the pics he may just get it.
We’ll know after the spring game I would guess. Last year CW supposedly played with the 2nd team O, yet when you looked at his line and receivers it was clear that was not really the case. And he dominated the other QB’s that day. That game was really an announcement of CW’s status. Of course, he could have blown it; but he didn’t, not with the advantages in personnel that he had working for him.
Spring game? I would think we would know much more in the fall. One can only hope a D1 head coach does not set his roster on what transpires in the spring game.
RST did you miss the body of work in real games? That and Paul’s season ending statement of we have to throw the ball to our team? Not exact quote…
we’ll know more than we do now
Well put. Probably should have said that myself.
:)
thought cochran was the “big catch” for uconn?
That was when he was the only catch. Things change.
