Mailbag June 15: Is The 7 On 7 Something New (For High Schoolers) At UConn?

Q: Dez, my man. How you been? Obviously Randy Edsall had a camp as well, but I don’t remember there being these 7 on 7 games in them, and especially with so many schools from CT. Do I just not remember this or is this something new with Coach PP? Also, if this is new, is it something other coaches do in NCAAF with regards to 7 on 7 tournaments? Thanks dude… Pete, Manchester

A: Hey Pete. Yes, it was done under Edsall – once. About 12 teams showed. They’re expecting 30 teams tomorrow. I don’t know if it’s done in other places but this is quite interesting and great way to look at who you like, want or begin tracking.
