Q: Dez, I am super anxious for this season to start so I can finally get the answer to two questions that have been circling my head for a while now: 1) Will we finally have a QB emerge that will find success actually throwing the ball and not just ‘managing the game’ and 2) How will Temple actually fare in their first season back. Over on the BE blog on ESPN there was a link today to an article suggesting that Temple may be a giant disappointment this year and personally I am thinking that may be an understatement. With only 2 returning starters on offense I can’t help but imagine them getting destroyed by a league with many relatively strong D fronts. What are your thoughts? -Andrew, NYC

A: I hear ya on the QB thing but you should expect more production from the spot than you’ve seen in recent years. Again just my opinion but I think you’ve got some guys in here that can do some things QBs of the past haven’t been able to do. Of course they’ll have to prove it in games… I would never count a W against a Steve Addazio coached team before it’s played. Master motivator there.
