Q: Desmond, The wonderful article about the former players gathering to celebrate 50 years at Memorial Stadium was accompanied in the print edition by 2 photos from the last game that clearly were not representative of such a celebratory event. Why were they chosen? John, Storrs
A: I don’t know about wonderful John but thanks. Yeah you know the story was supposed to be about just that and the photos were ore-determined to reflect such but there were so many of the guys that hadn’t seen each other and they were just ripping off memories of their time in Storrs, period. It was much better stuff so I just tried to capture that because there were some great stories being told. Sometimes you can’t stay in script I guess is the short answer John.
