Q: Hey Dez, wow – you can’t even catch a break with a night game this week and early deadlines for Sunday paper. At least the final two will be earlier. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we won’t have to endure anything too harsh. Just wondering – looking back at pre-season predictions, what would be the top two or three factors that led the team to falling so short of expectations? I’m thinking it’s the curse of the angry Husky logo, which is still winless on the gridiron. Greg B. Colchester

A: I’d probably go with the offensive line struggles, No. 1 and experience in some spots No.2. I wonder what the offense would have looked like with a ready to go Joe Williams. That might have allowed for playing Lyle McCombs in a few different spots. I think. He can catch so…The play in the secondary needed to be more consistent as well as on special teams.
